  • Can my ring be resized?
Yes, most rings can be brought in to be resized. However, this excludes eternity bands in which case we would need to be certain of the ring size before we move forward and create the ring.
  • I have a piece that I no longer wear but it has sentimental value. Can I have it redesigned?
Absolutely! We will work with you to create a more modern design utilizing your diamonds and your gold.
  • What materials do you offer?
We work often with Gold. This includes 10K, 14K and 18K in Yellow, White, or Rose. We also work with Platinum and in very rare cases, Silver.
  • Do you offer shipping?
Shipping is offered upon request. Shipping costs are calculated based on the location and weight/size of the package.
  • How do I know that my piece is authentic?
All custom and ready-made pieces will be appraised by our in-house appraiser. If a certified diamond is chosen, a GIA or IGI certificate will also be included. These certificates can be used for insurance purposes.
  • Can I come in without an appointment?
An appointment is required. This allows us to be more prepared and offer you a one-on-one individualized experience. Make an appointment here.
  • What is your return/exchange policy?
Returns and Exchanges are entirely at our discretion. Custom-made pieces that are created at your request are not refundable. Ready-made pieces that are purchased from our collections can be exchanged if they are not altered by us or by any other jeweller. This includes changing the stones, resizing, rhodium plating etc. If you do have a request to have any item returned/exchanged, it should be done within 7 days of the initial purchase.
  • Can I exchange just the setting?
Exchanges of the setting can be done. The price of your gold would be calculated, and credit would be given towards the new setting.
  • Is there a warranty for my piece?
We offer a lifetime warranty on your piece. Minor repairs, cleaning, and polishing are covered. *NOTE: Warranty is voided when regular maintenance is not followed. See the section on jewellery care, cleaning, and maintenance. Warranty does not include severe damages to your piece or loss, chipping, and cracking of your diamond.
  • How do I care for my gold?
Gold is a strong metal. Be mindful of your daily activities. For instance, we recommend you take off all jewellery before going to the gym, swimming, showering, gardening etc. This will prevent any severe scratches on your piece. We also recommend bringing your piece in for regular maintenance and cleaning, which we offer free of cost if the piece was purchased at our store.
  • How can I prevent chipping and cracking of my diamond?
Diamonds are rated 10 on the Mohs hardness scale meaning only a diamond can scratch another diamond. Diamonds will only crack upon heavy impact. However, when choosing a diamond keep in mind that certain cuts are more prone to chipping and cracking. This can be discussed with your jeweller when choosing your diamond or see our Instagram page for our “Pros and Cons” series.
  • How often should I have my jewellery inspected and cleaned?
We recommend you come in for regular maintenance and inspection every 6 months to 1 year. Our jeweller will inspect, clean, and polish if needed.
  • I don’t live in the city, and I can’t come down that often, but I would still like my diamond and gold to shine. Can I clean my jewellery at home?
Fill a bowl halfway with lukewarm water and add dish soap. Soak your item for 20 minutes. If the item has severe dirt buildup and your diamond looks dull, leaving it in for another 10 minutes will not harm your piece. Using a brush with soft bristles, brush your piece gently. Then rinse. This should brighten up your piece until you can come in for your next professional cleaning.
  • What are some simple care instructions I can use to properly take care of my Jewellery?
At Glor Jewellery, we understand the importance of preserving the beauty and brilliance of your precious jewellery. To ensure your pieces remain exquisite for years to come, we recommend following these simple cleaning and care guidelines: Avoid Exposure to Harsh Chemicals: To maintain the luster of your jewellery, avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals such as chlorine, bleach, or household cleaners. These substances can tarnish metals and dull gemstones. Remove Jewelry During Activities: While our jewellery is crafted with durability in mind, it's best to remove it before engaging in vigorous physical activities, swimming, or showering. This helps prevent accidental damage or loss. Store Jewelry Properly: When not in use, store your jewelry in a clean, dry place away from sunlight and humidity. We recommend storing each piece separately to prevent scratching or tangling. Cleaning at Home: For routine cleaning, gently wipe your jewelry with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove any dirt or residue. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals, as they may damage delicate surfaces. Professional Cleaning: Periodic professional cleaning is essential to restore the brilliance of your jewelry. We offer complimentary cleaning services for all Glor Jewellery pieces. Simply visit our downtown location, and our expert staff will be delighted to assist you. By following these care instructions, you can ensure that your Glor Jewellery pieces remain as stunning as the day you first laid eyes on them. If you have any further questions or require assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us. Your satisfaction is our top priority.
  • What is the turnaround time for a custom order?
We recommend giving us 2-3 weeks’ notice when placing a custom order. This allows you to first approve the 3D CAD (Computer Aided Design) before we start with the mould of your piece and bringing it to reality. For the full process and steps on how to place your order, click here.
  • Is custom-made jewellery more expensive than ready-made jewellery?
Not necessarily. This all depends on the material you’ve chosen and the labour that comes with it. Certain materials such as platinum require more labour thus you would be looking at a higher cost.
  • I have doubts about how my piece is going to turn out. How do I know what to expect?
Before we start creating your dream piece, we create a 3D Computer-Aided Design of the piece. This gets rendered into a high-quality product visualization where you will see exactly what your piece will look like. We require approval of this visual from you before we continue the process.
